"You can do it"
It was winter track season 1989 on a bus heading to a meet. Coach Wilk wants me to compete in the long jump because someone didn't show up. I had practiced it a few times but was by no means feeling confident to compete in it that day. Wilk told me to practice when we get there and "you can do it!" I was extremely nervous and freaking out. But, Coach Wilk believed in me without hesitation and I wanted to make him proud because of that. So I did it. I came home with a 4th place medal for the event! I love you Coach Wilk! Rest in peace.
