Remembering "David" A fighter till the end

No one knows if ayone ever comes to terms with a diagnosis of cancer. I think intially you can beat it.In Davids case  however, it was everywhere. He was told by his Doctors to get his life in order and do the things he wanted to do. Even when he stopped all treatment and knew there was no more hope I think David still thought there would be more time. What he thought might be a few more months turned out to be just a few short weeks. Sadly, David passed away on Feb. 28, 2016 a 9:20 in the evening. Not in a hospital, but at home surrounded by the people who cared for and loved him.

The David I got to know in 5 short weeks was different then the David I had known for nearly 30 years. Not that he was not the kind, loving, gentle person I knew, He just became much stronger and at peace with what life had dealt him. David loved music, art, good food, and reading was his passion.

There were many things, though simple, David's body would not let him complete that were important to him. I can't begin to explain how he affected my life. I know hes at peace and in a better place. He's free of pain and suffering. His light will shine forever in all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in Peace David, you will be missed....Hugs, Hugs, Hugs.....Love, Carol (Mom)
