Condolence From: Cathy (Preall) Hutton
Condolence: Dear Family of Ida...
This is Feb 19, 2017 and I just had notice of Ida's 2014 passing today.

I am Helen Smicklo (Preall) daughter, Cathy. Florence was the baby Girl of the Smicklo and my mother was the oldest girl (and oldest of the siblings).

When we lived in NJ -- way back in the late 40's, we were in close contact with our NJ relatives. But when we moved to PA, gradually we lost contact. And of course, we got blown to the wind the way families do these days.

After Grandma Smicklo passed away (1970) there was little reason for her children to visit, except an occasional trip... and I remember my mom and dad, going to visit occasionally. By that time, I was in Virginia with my family and career.

Nevertheless, family is SO important. We learn that as we get older, don't we? I give you my deepest condolence and I'm sorry that I didn't know before. My best to you.

Condolence: Ida was a rockin awesome lady. I am honored to have known her for 1/2 of my own life. We shared many vegetarian meals, chats and records.
She is like family to me. I am saddened by the loss of her physical presence but I know her spirit will live on my my heart always.
So much love to her son, Dave, in this time of earthly loss. I am glad I got to see her one last time in September. I can not really express in words all the goodness that is Ida or the sadness that I feel.
blessings and love

Condolence: I have many fond memories of Ida. I didn't get to know her well until my married years, but she always reminded me of her mother, she always made me and my family feel welcomed and loved at every function. No words will ease your pain, hold on to the memories and be thankful for the time together. Love thoughts and prayers to all

Condolence: Dear David & Family, Ida was a wonderful friend and co-worker. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word when you needed to hear one. Ida didn't mince words, you knew exactly how she felt about things and I admired her for that. She often gave me the courage to do the same. She will be missed but will remain in my heart forever.
Deepest sympathy, Suzanne.
