Christensen, Ruth age 82, of Pleasantville passed away on August 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was the daughter of the late Fred and Mae Ellenberg and was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Cray; her son-in-law, Gary; sister Mary Jane; and great grandson Mathew.

Ruth worked as a pit clerk for many years at Caesars and Harrah's casinos.

She is survived by her companion of 43 years, Nick DiMarcello; son, Robert Christensen (Alicia); daugter, Loretta Wehmeyer; sister, Susan Kurtz (Art); and brother Fred Ellenberg (Lee). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Michael Remvidas (Traci), Wendy Pelikan (Walt), Lynn Pinto, Stacey Watt (Ron), Robin Kaplan (Sal) and Tatiana Echeverria; ten great grandchildren: Heather and Katie Remvidas, Jason, Erica and Joey Watt, Laura and Zachery Kaplan, Alysha Levenski, Kerri Cooper and Craig Plageman; three great great grandchildren, Madison Watt,Jayden Remvidas and Andrew Santiago; also many loving nieces and nephews.

Ruth's happiest times were spending time with her family who all adored her. She will always be remembered by all who knew her as the kindest, most generous person that you would ever have the privilege of knowing. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 2 pm to 3 pm with a service at 3 pm.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
