Obituary for Ronald Joseph Maxwell

Ronald Joseph  Maxwell
Ronald Joseph Maxwell, 63, passed away peacefully in his home with his wife, Denise, by his side on Friday, September 23rd, 2016.

Ron was well known and loved by all who knew him. He worked at the Atlantic County Firearms Training Facility where he interacted with local police departments. He taught firearms safety and training to the general public as well as youth training groups throughout the area. Ron retired a Master Sergeant from the 177th Fighter Wing, Security Forces Squadron in 2008 after 36 years of military service; including a previous stint in the US Army where his military service began at age 18.

Ron is survived by his wife, Denise, and their son, James, his daughter, Christina Ferguson, and his granddaughters, Allison and Hayley. He is also survived by his mother, Janet Maxwell, sisters: Susan Allen, Beth Horan (John), and Joanne Maxwell; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Services will be held on Friday, September 30th, 2016 at the Scullville Fire House, Station 1, 1708 Somers Point Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 from 1-4 pm. Memorial Services and Military Honors will be at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help defray expenses or to the Gilda’s Club of South Jersey.
