Obituary for Robert S. Grist Jr.
Grist, Jr., Robert S., 84, of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Robert worked as Risk Manager for Atlantic County for 38 years, retiring in 2015. He was past president of the All Sports Association in Northfield and was an active member in the Northfield Republican Club. His life was his family, never missing any of the grandchildren's sports or activities.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Joan; children, Holly Lamey, Melvin G. Thompson, III (Kathleen), and Nancie Curry (Kevin); grandchildren, Kelli Sutor (Corey), Corey Richey (Grant), Samantha Curry, Jaclyn Spiegel (Harry), Alissa Lamey, Sean Thompson, and Sarah Thompson; and two great granddaughters.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 am to 12 pm, on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A service will begin at 12 pm. Burial will be private for the family.
