Gandy, Philomena R. “Fruie” (nee Porreca), 98, of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, surrounded by her family in the home in which she lived for 65 years. Fruie loved everyone she met. Fruie is predeceased by her husband, Earl Gandy; her parents, Nicholas and Riparata Tenara Porreca; her brothers, Joseph and Daniel Porreca; her sisters, Anna Sylvester and Rose Hayes; and her son-in-law, Robert Stephens. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Stephens, with whom she lived for 26 years, and Kathy’s partner Tom Reustle; and her granddaughter, Stephanie (Ben) Tarr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish on Monday January 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 until the time of the mass on Monday at the Church. Interment will be held at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes.
