Super, Michael Patrick 84, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully at home on Friday Oct. 25, 2013. Born and raised in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada on Oct. 22, 1929. He was the son of William and Anna Super who came over from Czechoslovakia in early 1929. He was a private in the US Army during Korean War then went on to Atlantic City. While staying at the YMCA, he met his wife at a dance... "Never to return to Canada" he often joked. He was employed with the Atlantic City Electric Company for 30 years working his way up from lineman to foreman. He was an avid fisherman and member of the Atlantic City Tuna Club and the Absecon Island Power Squadron. He lived and raised his family in Northfield and built his home where his daughter and family still reside. Upon retirement, he and his wife,... "returned together" to live at Summit Lake, British Columbia, Canada where they enjoyed their love of wildlife and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Nancy C Super. He will be sadly missed by his son, Michael W. Super of Heriot Bay, British Columbia, Canada; his daughter Kathleen Kelly and husband William of Northfield; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Kelly and wife Jenna of Egg Harbor township; Emily and William; and a great grandson, Colton (who he referred to as ... little guy).
