camping at Kawa Bay
This photo is Mike just arriving at Abel's lands (Kawa Bay). A Hawaiian claimed the land was given to his great great grandfather by King Kamehameha III ;and was fighting the county for ownership. That is why is was so secluded and unknown. There was no one for miles, and you could do whatever you liked. That is the smile when we exited the truck and had all this freedom for a few days. We made a fire on the beach and drank beers all night deciding where to go tomorrow. We had a bag of fireworks with us; but we decided the place was too sacred to disturb in that way... Beautiful memory
