Obituary for Martin Thomas Rodgers

Martin Thomas  Rodgers
Marty Rodgers passed away peacefully on May 30, 2018. His last days were spent surrounded by his family and many friends telling stories, laughing, crying, and so thankful to have had such a wonderful man in their lives! Marty was an amazing brother, uncle and friend. He has touched so many lives for the better.

Marty was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Martin T. Rodgers Sr. and Nancy (Bernhardt) on January 23, 1958. He was raised in Southwest Philadelphia where he attended Good Shepherd and West Catholic High School. Marty was employed by Harrah’s Casino for 36 years.

Marty is survived by his sisters- Deborah and Carolyn Courtney (Michael), his brother Bill (Rosa) and his friend Leah. He is survived by his nephews Chuck Kohaut, and Billy, Christian and Nicholas Rodgers and his nieces Cara Kohaut, Gabi Courtney and Ava Rodgers. He is also survived by his aunts, many cousins and many many friends.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, June 3rd 6-9pm at Adams -Perfect Funeral Home 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ and Monday, June 4th from 9:30-10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gianna’s Roman Catholic Church 1421 New Road, Northfield at 11AM.
