Obituary for Mark L Lacy III

Mark L  Lacy III
Lacy, Mark Leeds 3rd, 87 of Linwood, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2016 with family by his side, after a long battle with complications from a M.V accident.

Born in Pleasantville on May 27, 1929, Mark was an area resident all of his life. He graduated from Pleasantville High in 1948, was a Charter member of Pleasantville fire station #1, retired from B L England power plant, and honorably served in the National Guard.

Mark liked to fish and play golf, and he loved to fix things. But most of all, he cherished his wife of 66 years, Joan (Settle), their children, grandchildren and their great-grandchildren.

Mark was predeceased by his sister, Irene; his mother, Mary Hannah (Mitchell); and his father, Mark Leeds Lacy, Jr . He is survived by his wife; his brother, Dave Lacy; son Mark (Lynn); daughters Joan Leeds (Joe) and Eileen Tedesco (Francesco); five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10am - 11 am, with services to follow at 11am at CENTRAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5 Marvin Ave, Linwood. Burial will follow in UNION CEMETERY, 5442 Somers Point/Mays Landing Road, Mays Landing.
