Obituary for Lithian L Henry

Lithian L  Henry
HENRY, LITHIAN LAVERNE (AKA ROCKY), - 87, of Egg Harbor Township, entered into eternal rest with her God on April 20, 2018.
Known by many favorite names, Nana was born on January 2, 1931 in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ to Oscar and Elizabeth (nee Wallace) Harmon. Nana resided in Ocean City, NJ for more than 55 years, moving to Egg Harbor Twp., NJ in 1986 to live out her retirement years. Following the passing of her beloved husband she was cared for by her son. Nana took great pleasure in watching the birds feed and bathe in her flower gardens. She was a Phillies fan, true green Eagles fan; loved watching her kids; grandkids and great grandkids participate in the activities they loved. She was active in the Grannies club, the United Methodist Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. Nana worked at the Woodbine State School in Woodbine , NJ ; Amway Distributor for many years and retired from Prudential Insurance in Linwood, NJ.
Nana was predeceased by “the love of her life” Carl Henry Sr., a granddaughter, Sarah; and her siblings, Charles, Claire, Edna, Sadie, Ruth, Maochia, Madeline, Oscar Jr., Dewitt and Gloria. Nana’s legacy lives on through; seven children: Darlene Washington (Anthony deceased) -Somers Point, NJ, Paul Harmon -Williamstown, NJ, Monte Harmon -EHT, NJ, Ronald Harmon (William) -Chesilhurst, NJ, Carl Henry, Jr. (Alberetta) -EHT, NJ, Tracey Henry -EHT, NJ, and Todd Henry Sr. (Leslie) -EHT, NJ. Special Blessings for each of her 11 grandchildren Monica Washington, Twila Washington, Marcus Walden, Sara Harmon (deceased), Laura Harmon, Kara Harmon, Tara Henry, Danielle Henry, Anthony Redd, Todd Henry Jr., Trey Henry; 9 great grandchildren Ronald, Janelle, Darius, Mikal, Alexis, Briana, Xavier, Avry, Trinutea,Anthony Jr, Gabriel.
A life celebration will be held Saturday, April 28, at Salem United Methodist Church, 815 S Main St, Pleasantville, NJ 08232, where friends may call from 10 a.m -11 a.m with the service starting at 11. Burial will follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences may be left for the family at adams-perfect.com.
