Obituary for Laura B Spencer

Laura B Spencer
Spencer, Laura B. 80 of Galloway passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6th.
Laura was a family woman. She loved taking care of her family. Even if it was the most simple things! If you had an injury of some kind she loved taking care of it! To putting a simple band aid on it, to taking care of a deep cut or sprained ankle, she loved being a nurse to the one she deeply loved! Even to the end, she took care of her husband, William Spencer and his major wounds. Laura loved her home and taking care of it, to make it clean and that everything had its proper place. But what Laura really loved to do was cook for her family! She loved seeing the faces when they came home and saw a freshly cooked meal when they came home hungry and loved watching them enjoy it. She loved watching her favorite channel QVC. She loved listening to family talk about their days and work and school and what they saw during the day. She loved going on trips with dad and family. She also enjoyed in her later years talking to her sisters; DorothySnyder and Edna Giberson who were her best friends to confide in.
Laura worked as a kid picking blueberries in a blueberry field. She helped out at Goetsch's Variety and Custard Stand in Galloway (Absecon Highlands) and she worked at Mike's Deli in Galloway.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Spencer-Dunn and husband, (John), her son, William M. Spencer and his wife, (Chanta), special family friend, Sandy Mianecki and husband (Joe) and daughter Ashley , her grandchildren; Laura and her husband, (Jerry), Jamie, Billy, Chase, her great grandchildren; JJ, Jake, Zelda, Kaiden, Lexi, and countless nieces, nephews that she loved and adored, her siblings; Dorothy, Edna (Donald), John (Eva), Chester (Lizzi), her brother-in-law, Chuck Buterbaugh.
Laura was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years until his death, William Spencer, Baby Lori, her parents; John and Lillian Hurley, her sister, Margaret Buterbaugh, her brother-in-law, John Snyder, her sisters-in-law; Blanche, Jenna, Sue and brothers-in-law; Art, Charlie, and John.
Laura will be truly be missed by her family and friends!, Her family will truly miss her smile and laughter she had! To her family she was a great woman!
