Obituary for Joseph Francis Harlan

JOSEPH FRANCIS HARLAN, 75, went home to rest with his Lord on Monday, December 23 after a severe and extended illness. He was born on March 5, 1938 to Charles N., Sr. and Eleanor M. Harlan. He grew up in Linwood, New Jersey and graduated from Pleasantville High School; signed on with the U.S. Navy four years and spent most of his hitch overseas aboard the carrier USS Des Moines. Joe enjoyed the great outdoors and devoted several years as a Scout Master. Until his illness he was employed with OSAT Inc. in Houston, Texas and was a member of Nomads Organization. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Charles (Dorothy May) and a sister Rose Marie (Richard). He is survived by his wife Margareta; daughter Jennifer (Rankin) and sons Josh, Jason (Stacey); brother James E. Harlan (Chris); sisters Joan E. Stokes; Mary Ann Woolbert, Dorothy McCloy (Bill) and Carol Coyle (Bob); two grandchildren Eva and Marshall. Several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held January 4th at 10 am with a funeral service at 11 am at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Interment at Zion Cemetery Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
