John Leon Leeds, 82 native of Pleasantville, NJ, passed away Friday May 8, 2009 at the Meadowview Nursing Home, Northfield.
He was the son of Leon and Lillian Mae (Doughty) Leeds. He was a US Army Veteran and a past master of Trinity Lodge F&AM #79, a Past Monarch of Altime Grotto, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of South Jersey and former member of the Pleasantville Ambulance Squad and a Past member of the VFW of Pleasantville.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Galloway Twp, his daughters Janyce Leeds of Egg Harbor Township, Barbara Mathis of Smithville; grandchildren Heather Rocap, Dana Henderson, Lauri Mathis, and Bill Mathis IV; great grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Rocap, Lola and Scarlet Henderson and Samantha Salazar; a sister Joann Weller of Galloway..
Service will be private and at the convenience of the family

Interment will be in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Mays Landing.
