Joan H  Carty
Carty, Joan H., - 87 of Estell Manor, formally of Pleasantville NJ, passed away peacefully at Brandell Estates, Linwood, NJ on May 30, 2018.

Joan met her husband Harry while living in Atlantic City before settling in Pleasantville to raise their family. While raising four children, Joan was active in PTA, Pleasantville Little League, Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church and Cub Scouts as a Den Mother. Joan was an accomplished seamstress and baker, and also enjoyed creating floral arrangements in her spare time. As her children grew, Joan embarked on a career at Sears and Roebuck and retired after 25 years of loyal service.

Joan is predeceased by Harry, her husband of 62 years, her mother Helen and stepfather Frank, sisters Bernadette and Ruth, and brother Paul. She is survived by her sister Helen, her children Janice Barber (John), Harry Jr (Kathy), Thomas (Nancy), and David (Lorie), 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday June 2nd at Laurel Memorial Park in Pomona, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Help End Alzheimer's at alz.org.
