Obituary for Janet Louise Newsome
Newsome, Janet L. (nee Worthington), 80 of Absecon, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 2, 2014 with her family by her side.
She was born in Linwood, where she raised her children, and was a long-time area resident. Janet graduated from Pleasantville High School. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved the lord and her family.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, James Newsome; her daughter, Dawn Warren (Thomas) of Northfield; her son, Jeffrey S. Downs, Esq. (Steve) of Mullica Hill; grandchildren: TJ (Sharon), Matthew (Ashley), and Christopher Warren; great grandchildren: Trey and Gabriel; brother Tom Munyon; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Janet's Life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11am at Coastal Christian, 801 West Avenue, Ocean City. A visitation will be held from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Heartland Hospice Care, 2111 New Road, Suite 100, Northfield, NJ 08225.
