H. Robert “Bob” Hughey, devoted husband, father and stepfather of four, and friend of many, passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 81, in Mays Landing, New Jersey.

Bob was born to June and Howard Hughey and raised in Bound Brook, New Jersey. He graduated from Bound Brook High School before attending the University of Delaware, where he obtained a BA in electrical engineering.

After serving 36 years in the Bell system, Bob retired in 1998, when he and his wife, Carolyn, relocated to the year-round sunshine on the West coast, where he enjoyed an active lifestyle and became a connoisseur of good wines and fine dining.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, Scott Hughey and his wife, Jill; Mark Hughey and his wife, Kelly; Kim Parliman-Sukel and her husband, Daniel; and Brett Parliman and his wife, Lisa; his brother, Jerry Hughey and eight grandchildren, Peter, Owen, McKenna, Jack, Joshua, Zachary, Brittany and Jeremy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home on November 16. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with service to follow at 11:00 AM
