Collins, Gordon K., loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 6, 2013. He was 76 years old.

Born in Northfield, Mr. Collins served in the United States Coast Guard aboard the CGC Westwind, which participated in Operation Deep Freeze to the Antarctic. He was awarded a good conduct medal, and received an Honorable Discharge in 1959.

After his discharge he went into the construction business, and eventually co-founded J&J Construction. In his retirement, he pursued his love of restoring classic cars. He enjoyed hanging out with the gang at Harry's on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and helped organize the annual Pumpkin Run. He loved animals, and enjoyed traveling with his wife, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Geraldine Collins (nee Kaluhiokalani); his daughters, Kimberly Johnston and Stacy Collins, both of EHT, and Kathleen Willcox of Mays Landing; and his granddaughters, Jennifer Collins Cox of Lewes, DE and Abigail Willcox of Mays Landing.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 12:00pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
