Tozzi, Elizabeth "Betsy" of Northfield, NJ passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the age of 72, after a lengthy illness, with the love of her life, Joe Tozzi, by her side at the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield. She was born October 10, 1941, in Pleasantville to the late Robert I. Bucknam and Agnes Bucknam.
Betsy attended Pleasantville High School. She became a co-owner and operator of Dino's Sub Shop in 1972, and continued working there in different capacities for many years. She later worked at the Hilton Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
Betsy enjoyed many hobbies and activities over the years. Her favorite activity was creating beautiful ceramic crafts that she loved to share with her friends and loved ones. She was often praised for her artistic talent and skills in making these beautiful creations. She was an active member of the St. Gianna Beretta Molla RC Church parish, and enjoyed participating in Church activities.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Tozzi of Margate, her sons; James O. Tozzi and his wife, Sharon of Boynton Beach, FL, and Peter Joseph ("PJ") Tozzi of Rahway,NJ. She is also survived by her brother, James Bucknam and his wife, Erlinda of Zamboanga City in the Philippine Islands; her two sisters-in-law; Patty Quigley of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sandra Yanni of Mays Landing, and her nephews and nieces Robert W. Bucknam, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Hammonton, Kenneth J. Bucknam and his wife, Janice of Dorothy, John S. Bucknam of Vineland, Joseph T. Bucknam of Dallas, TX, Meagan Bucknam-Davis of Joanesboro, Arkansas, Sissy Hoffman and her husband, Timothy Hoffman of Las Vegas, Nevada and Steven Yanni of Mays Landing.
She is predeceased by her parents and her brother Robert W. Bucknam, Sr.
A visitation will be held at St. Gianna Beretta Molla RC Church 1421 New Road, Northfield, on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 9:30am to 11am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, followed by the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Highway (NJSH Route 40), Mays Landing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to St. Gianna Beretta Molla RC Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225.
