Elizabeth Ann Cunius, 85, of Northfield, passed quietly in the early morning hours of April 30th.
Elizabeth (Betsy) was born on May 13th, 1936, to Earl and Ruth Britton in Mount Holly, NJ. After graduation from Egg Harbor City High School in 1954, she married Richard J. Cunius on September 25th. She then accompanied him on a short tour with the US Army in Germany. Upon their return to the USA, they settled in Absecon.
Betsy worked for many years for Doctor Ralph Ruppert (Absecon) and then with the Atlantic Cardiology Group (Linwood) as a billing/insurance bookkeeper.
Betsy loved her years of singing and traveling with the local chapter of the Sweet Adelines and was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church of Absecon. In her later years she enjoyed the condo life, where she made several dear and loving friends.
Betsy was predeceased by parents Earl and Ruth, husband Richard, sister Claire, and son Robert. She is survived by sister Ruth, son Richard (Diane), daughter-in-law Anna, grandchildren Daniel, Jeffrey, Robert Jr. (Laura), and Leigh, and great-grandchildren Nathan, Gavin and Logan.
There will be a graveside service at 11 am on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery (plot B-14-32) in Estell Manor.
