Obituary for Edmond George Donall Sr.

Edmond George  Donall Sr.
Donall, Edmond G. Sr. 89 - of Ringwood, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Linwood Care Nursing Home where he was a resident for the past 3 1/2 years.

He was born and raised in Clifton, NJ and proudly served 20 years in the US Navy. For nearly 20 years he attended many of the naval reunions of his first ship, the USS Weaver, which he served aboard during WWII. After the Navy, he became a letter carrier for the Hawthorne Post Office, retiring in 1985.

Ed is predeceased by his wife, Ruth (nee Klein); and his sister, Edna Suydam.

He is survived by his son, Edmond Jr. and his wife Annamarie-Bambi (nee Cullen); and his son, William. His granddaughter, Christina Marie Donall, was the light of his life. They both enjoyed traveling to various amusement parks. Favorite ride being the log flume which he rode til he was 85. He also is survived by his brother, Robert (Eleanor) Donall; several nieces and nephews; and his grand puppy and nursing home companion, Patches.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm. A prayer service will follow at 8:00pm.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
