Obituary for Dorothy R. Hughes
Hughes, Dorothy R., 95 of Linwood, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, March 3, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Linwood, she was an avid quilter and enjoyed volunteering at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She will be greatly missed.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Michael; her daughter-in-law, Joan; and her sisters, Elsie Thompson and Mildred Perry.
She is survived by her children: Michael, Dennis (Robin), Susan, Stephen (Brigid), Gary (Linda), and Jeffrey Hughes; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Phyllis Marshall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of mass. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221.
