Obituary for Doreen Kimberly Nuttall (Jenkins)

Doreen Kimberly Nuttall (Jenkins)
Nuttall, Doreen Kimberly (Jenkins) - of Northfield, NJ lost her months long battle with a rare and shockingly aggressive type of Sarcoma Cancer while at Cooper University Hospital on September 3rd, 2022 at the age of 47. She was admired by many for her loving spirit, service to her community, and commitment to family. Doreen was born in the AC Hospital to Dennis and Janet Jenkins. She grew up in Absecon NJ where she attended local schools, graduating from Holy Spirit High School in 1993. Doreen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University in 1998.
She met her loving husband, Scott, while still in high school the end of 1991 and has hardly been apart from him since. Doreen took great pride and was totally devoted to her two children, Blake and Tyler. She will be very missed by her family, including her mother, Janet, sister Denise (Sonny), brother Dennis Jr (Terri), and Aunt Linda Gross. Her extended family is heartbroken, among those are her mother-in-law Susan Nuttall, father-in-law Edward Nuttall, Aunt Carol Snyder, and sister-in-law Christine Brennan-Munoz.
Doreen was an Anchor/Reporter for NBC 40 News from 1997-2002. In the period 2003-2018 she focused most of her attention on raising her two boys and taking care of her family. In 2018 she became a Certified Substitute Teacher and discovered a new passion of teaching and worked toward obtaining her teaching certificate which she achieved in early 2022. She loved being a teacher at the Northfield Community School.
The family extends their love and gratitude to the Northfield community, the faculty, staff, and children at NCS, and the Northfield Mothers League.
A celebration of life/memorial cremation service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17th at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. Visitation starts at 11:00am and a service at 12pm. A lunch gathering (repast) will be announced at the end of the service at 1pm.
