Love and miss you everyday so much brother always praying to you everyday I know your with us in spirit I feel you I know we will see you again does not ease the pain of not having you here but I know your at peace and that's comforting and for me (jon) I never had a male bond with anyone like we had and probably never will and until we all meet again our love of same music and the memories we shared and time we spent together I will always cherish all our love and prayers until we meet again as Lonely Richie said ( sail on brother)
I can’t believe it has been a year. There’s not a day that goes that I don’t think of Dave in one way or another. It still hurts. It’s still surreal, yet there’s a void in my life that constantly reminds me that he really is gone. I try to remember he’s around all of us in spirit and is now at peace. I can only hope his family has found peace as well. You’re all still forever in my thoughts and my heart.
I can’t believe that you are really gone Dave. It’s hard to imagine a light that shined so brightly ever being snuffed out. My heart is so heavy today. The only comfort I find is that you’re in a better place and your suffering is over. I’ll always have memories of you. Your sense of humor was unlike anyone else’s. You were effortlessly funny and even after years of being together you still made me laugh like no one else could even through the dark times. You were a great cook, a great person with a huge heart, a positive person always willing to help anyone. When I heard the news I think one of the first things I thought of is that I will NEVER know another person like you Dave. You were definitely one of a kind. We shared a love of music, humor, laughter, our favorite tv shows and movies, the beach etc. I always wanted you to teach me how to dance like you, but we never got to that. Maybe on the other side. I’m grateful that after our relationship ended we were able to have a new relationship as friends. I cherished that friendship more than I think you ever knew. I love you Dave. I’ll always love you. You will be with me as long as I have those memories and I’ll never let go of them.
My condolences to Dave’s family. I know you all loved Dave so very much. It was a privilege to spend time with all of you. You really brought out the best in each other. There was always so much laughter. That’s what I remember most about those days. A lot of laughs and a lot of love. My heart is with all of you.
