Obituary for D. Elaine Previti

D. Elaine Previti
Previti, Doris “Elaine” – 88, of Linwood, passed away quietly and comfortably April 3 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born on April 8th, 1927 to Grace (Doughty) and Alfred Bjorge, a Norwegian sea captain, and raised in the Bungalow Park section of Atlantic City. As a young woman, she worked in public relations for the Convention Bureau, serving many roles from secretary to model to hostess. She graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1945 and married Anthony R. Previti, also of Atlantic City, in 1953. Elaine chose to dedicate most of her adult life to raising their four children, returning to work briefly in the office of LeCote Basque bakery. She was a compassionate, caring and wonderful mother who tirelessly did for others, never asking the same in return. Elaine also was an amazing cook and took every opportunity to send her loved ones cards and carefully-chosen gifts. But she found the most joy watching her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews grow and pursue their passions. Her love, light and laughter truly will be missed. Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, parents and brother, Ralph. She is survived by her sister, Ruth; her children Anthony E. Previti and his wife Patricia (McGaffney), Drew Previti and his wife Mai Ryuno, Jamie Previti and her husband Bill Lucia, and Jeff Previti; and her grandchildren Emily, Anna, Andrea, Chris and Luke. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
