Obituary for Brian Mooney

Brian Mooney
Mooney, Brian Daniel, 19 of Egg Harbor Twp., was carried home by the Lord on March 2, 2013. His mom asked Jesus to carry him home if need be, and he finally arrived at the place that was prepared for him. He died from a severe head injury that happened on June 17, 2011 which left him in a coma until he arrived in Jesus’ arms in heaven.

Brian very much loved going camping with his family - who went up to the mountains every summer in PA. He also loved playing with and teaching his dog, Shorty, how to do tricks such as paw, rollover, and up-touch. He was a high school student, and had a lot of friends who came to visit him at his house very often. His best friend, John Miller, spent the most time with him. In his younger years, Brian was involved in many sports, such as t-ball, street hockey, and karate, but his favorite sport of all was dirt bike riding through EHTPAL, all of which was influenced by his father.
He was the youngest of five children and on his way to graduate from EHT High School in 2012.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Richard P. Mooney; and his Grandfather, William P. Mooney. He is survived by his mother, Kartha Mooney; three brothers: Steven A. Mooney, Trevor K. and Sean B. Widecrantz; and one sister, Danielle S. Widecrantz; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

We love you, Goober. Some day we will all be together again. He was and will be missed greatly.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00pm at Praise Tabernacle Church, 2235 Ocean Heights Ave., Egg Harbor Twp. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately.
