Obituary for Billy Ray Marrow

Billy Ray  Marrow
Billy Ray Marrow was born in Halifax, North Carolina on March 25, 1941. He is the son of the late Booker T. and Ruby Marrow. He departed this life Sunday, July 24, 2016.
Influenced by his grandparents at an early age Billy joined Tillery Chapel Baptist Church in Halifax, NC. Billy attended Tillery Chapel School and Brawley High School in Scotland Neck, NC. Billy was a member of New Farmers of America, Boy Scouts and The 4H Club. He also enjoyed helping his family on the farm.
He spent many years working in the Hotel Industry in Atlantic City, NJ. He recently retired from the Atlantic City School Board of Education -Maintenance Department, with over 25 years of service. He attended Second Baptist Church of Atlantic City.
Billy is survived by his wife Susie Marrow. One sister Helen Marrow Baker (Wardell) of North Chesterfield, VA. His children- Rashid Muhammid (Ricky Marrow) of Margate NJ, Anita Marrow of Alexandria, VA, Sharon Marrow of Crofton, MD, Diedra Marrow of Bowie, MD, Suzette Washington (Calvin) of Mays Landing, NJ and Rick Brandon (Sabrina) of Egg Harbor Twp NJ. His grandchildren Harlee Taylor Smith, Lakia Brandon, Aleshia Brandon, Rick Brandon III, Calvin Washington Jr. and 2 great-grandson’s Semaj and Sayvion Jones.
Left to also mourn his loss is - his nephew Tony M. Baker of Lorton, VA, his niece Mironda B. Starke (Antonio) of Chesterfield, VA, Grand Niece Toni Milan Baker, Grand Nephews Brandon Watson and Dallas Baker and devoted cousin Linda Kaye Walker of Enfield North Carolina. Best friend Andy Burroughs, God-daughter Tarsha Bush- Dudley (Wesley) and a host of family and friends.
Billy had a deep passion for cars, enjoyed shopping and loved working in his yard. He really loved getting his family together for dinners and celebrations. He often expressed the importance of family and friends and really cherished his. He will deeply be missed by all.
A viewing will be held Saturday, July 30th from 3-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Adams Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, N.J.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11am at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, 305 Cow Track Road in Windsor, North Carolina.

Interment will be held at Hendrix Family Cemetery in Windsor, North Carolina.
