Cannuscio, Antonina Vetrano, 92 – of Somers Point, NJ passed away at home on May 3, 2018.

Born on November 24, 1925 in Campofiorito, Sicily to Antonino and Domenica Vetrano. She was one of eight children.

In 1946, she married Mario Cannuscio and they raised three sons. She lived in Sicily, then France for many years before immigrating in 1972, to Minersville, Pennsylvania where she and her husband, Mario, established and operated their own successful restaurant business, Mario’s Pizzeria.

Predeceased by her husband of thirty two years, Mario Cannuscio, son Antonino Cannuscio, and brothers Francesco and Giorgio Vetrano.

Loving Mamma to her sons and their wives, Giuseppe and Mirella, Ernesto and Christine, Daughter-in-law MaryAnne and extraordinary Nonna to her five grandchildren; Antonina Spencer and her husband Scott, Roberto Cannuscio, Katharine Cummings and her husband Jason, Julianne Cannuscio, and Mario Cannuscio, and sister to Lucia, Gina, Giuseppina, Rita, Margherita.

Antonina was the matriarch of her family and her deep love for her family was evident throughout her life. She had a Heart of Gold, Hands of Silver, and a Titanium Spirit and Will Power. Heaven has been granted an incomparable angel.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
