It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alberta "Bertie" Hurdle (Hopkins). She was and is our devoted mother but most of all a friend to the many lives she touched. Bertie passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born May 13, 1933 in Norristown, Pennsylvania and in 1958 she married her husband, George Hurdle. Alberta was a member of the Atlantic Chapter No.3, Order of the Eastern Star, Arbor Vitae Assembly No.16, Order of the Golden Circle, Mt. Olive Court No.10, Order of Cyrene, and the Azure Court No. 14, Daughters A.E.A.O.M.S.
Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, George Hurdle, her mother, Anna Mae Hopkins, her brothers; Dehavon, Nelson, and William, and sisters; Mary and Flora Mae.
