Obituary for Marilyn Anna Collins (Rodham)

Marilyn Anna  Collins (Rodham)
Marilyn A. Collins, of Egg Harbor Township passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward A. Collins. She was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1936. She graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum Vocational Technical School in Philadelphia, PA. in 1954. She was married on August 20, 1955. In addition to being a loving wife and wonderful mother, she worked for the Egg Harbor Township Board of Education for 26 years, she was an active member of her church St. Katharine Drexel Parish, she was a founder and past president of the Woodcrest Park Homeowners Civic Association. Marilyn was an avid bowler, crafter and seamstress.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl Kent (Tyrone Fischer), Cathleen Collins (Bill Getty) Edward Collins and his wife Mary, and Cynthia Hendrickson and her husband Bob. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shannon and Shaun Kent, Tyler Fischer, Kaitlyn and Stephen Calabro, Christle Young and her husband Tommy, Charlene and Bobby Hendrickson, Edward Collins Jr., Krystal and Mark Karrer, and her great grandchildren: Cianna, Jasen and Koltyn. Marilyn is also survived by her best friend of 45 years, Una Zink and her beloved dog and constant companion Jingles.

She was predeceased by her mother Anna Mae (Maag) Rodham and her father William John Rodham, her brother William Rodham and sister Elise Owens.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Saint Katharine Drexel RC Church, 6075 West Jersey Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Saturday at 12:30 pm.

Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the building fund of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, 6075 West Jersey Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
