Obituary for Alfred Hanson
Alfred W. Hanson, 87, passed away Oct.1, 2015. Alfred resided in Northfield and formerly the Farmington section of Egg Harbor Township. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Doris E. Hanson. He is survived by his son Gary (Kathleen) and his daughter Donna Roesch (Robert). Alfred leaves behind three grandchildren Michael (Kathleen), Lauren Ursone (Charles), Jaclyn Roesch and four great grand children, Olivia and Paige Hanson, and Trenton and Maxwell Roesch.
Throughout his life he was active in serving his community as a volunteer fireman and lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion and Lions. Alfred was a talented craftsman. He established a family owned business, Al Hanson Awnings, prior to joining and retiring from the Carpenters Union Local 255 as an upholsterer.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, October 7 at Adams Perfect Funeral Home, Northfield from 9-11am. A service will follow at 11AM. Burial will immediately follow at Laurel Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lions Blind Center, 100 Crestview Ave., Absecon, NJ 08201.
