Marie Graziano, (DeSimone) 97of Absecon, NJ. Marie was born in Philadelphia on November 28, 1917. She was the daughter of John and Rose DeSimone.

Marie is predeceased by her parents, her husband, John Graziano, her brother, John DeSimone and her sisters, Connie Vernacchio and Rita DeSimone.

Marie leaves behind her devoted daughter, Vickie Lutz(Arthur), her loving grandchildren, Kristie Waller(Simon), and John Lutz(Kaitlyn). She also leaves behind her brother, Victor DeSimone(Connie), and her sister, Anna Porecca.

Marie began life in Philadelphia and moved to Absecon during the Depression years, working in the family business.Later, she became a seamstress working in the clothe factory in Woodbine making Military clothing. After the war she continued working in Atlantic City for Kravitz & Co. and Cherubino Petti & Co. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union.

Marie worked very hard in the clothing factories as a collar setter.. But her most cherished role was that of wife, mother and Nana. Her life revolved around her family. Sunday dinners were special gatherings with delicious food, good conversation and lots of laughter. Snowstorms meant homemade pizza and cinnamon buns. Summer meant barbeques and blueberry pie. Fall brought the smell of fresh baked apple pie and canning tomatoes. Winter was candy cane cookies etc., etc..

Marie leaves behind a lifelong devotion to family, and a strong faith in God which guided every day of her 97 years.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon from 9:30am until 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Mays Landing.

Contributions may be made in Marie's memory to either the ALS Foundation Greater Philadelphia Chapter (Serving Southern New Jersey) 321 Norristown Rd. Suite 260,Ambler, PA 19002 or to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
