Long, Ruth 83 of Mays Landing, NJ passed away in Victoria Manor Cape May, NJ on July 6, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. She was a native of Farmington, WV and a liflelong resident of this area. She is the daughter of the late John and Edith Simon. She was an Avon representative for over 40 years, "Avon Lady" and was a special need's aide in education for Egg Harbor Township. She was an avid brownie baker and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

She is survived by her daughter Jane Ford (Ron); granddaughter Megan Berenotto and host of other relatives and family, She was preceded in death by husband Bud Long in 2006 and son Donald Long in 2009.

A memorial service will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church at the corner of Franklin and Tunis Boulevard Pleasantville, NJ 08232 on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held prior at the church from 1- 2 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation, the Alzheimer's Research Foundation, the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Epiphany Lutheran Church or to the Charity of your choice.
