I met Ben about 25 years ago in the back of the store where he sat dealing out produce and sometimes good advise. We would almost always chat a little about life, happenings and family. He was always the same gruff, friendly and multi-tasking as always. I'm sure he never even thought about not working. He was one of those rare people in that what you saw was what was real. The last time we conversed he was not too happy about not being able to get out and about as much but there he was sitting in his seat working as usual. I will miss him the next time I visit but will never forget his presence that will remain always.
