Anne Christine  Holmer
Holmer, Anne Christine "Baby", 85, of Avalon, NJ and Lansdale, Pa, passed away peacefully on September 3rd comforted by her children Philip E. Holmer of Northfield, NJ and Karen C. Deeb and son-in-law Gary Deeb of Madison, NJ. Anne Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY to Johann and Karen (Reppe) Alness. She grew up In Trondheim, Norway during the hardships of WWII. A descendent of 18th century Norwegian Admiral Peter W. Tordenskjold, she worked at NATO in it's early years before returning to New York City. While working at Burroughs Corporation she met Philip Francis Holmer, an IBM electrical engineer, and they married in 1958. They settled in Lansdale where he worked for Univac/Sperry, and together enjoyed being a part of the emergence of the commercial computer industry. Anne Christine was devoted to her family and instilled in them her value of hard work and her zest for the wisdom gained through travel. Her family has special memories of traveling throughout the U.S., in Norway and Europe together, many of them with her husband's business trips. She enjoyed summers with family at the Jersey shore in Cape May and Avalon. Always full of energy she also enjoyed the outdoors including yard work, her volunteer years with Avalon Garden club, trips to Marathon, FL and her Bridge club. Her memory will be cherished by many family and friends including Doug Davison, cousin Harold and Irene Rolseth, cousin Wenke Ahrens, daughter-in-law Dominique Holmer and grandchildren Brittany and Philip Holmer and Andrea and Stephanie Deeb.
