Komasz, John M. (Jack) passed away on August 1, 2016.

Jack was born on July 23,1944 in Passaic, NJ to John and Johanna (Marakovitz) Komasz. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martina (Marti) Komasz; and his four children and their spouses, Jason (Kara), Jeremy (Krista), Melissa Otis (Jason) and Michelle Childress (Derrick).
Jack loved his seven grandchildren, Ava, Hayden, Lyla, Katie, John Paul, Domenic and Conner to the moon and back.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Bowers and her daughters, Kathleen Price and Jacqueline Klypka; as well as several cousins; and two aunts from the Komasz and Marakovitz families.

Jack graduated from Upsala College in 1966 and earned his Masters from Seton Hall University in 1970. Jack was employed by the NJ Commissions for The Blind and Visually Impaired for 38 years and also 13 years for Acme Market in Somers Point. Jack loved sports, especially the Giants and Yankees; TV, especially NCIS; but most of all, his family and friends.

Grateful appreciation to Dr. Loftus, Dr.Wang, Dr. Dalzell and the caring staff at AtlantiCare Pomona.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood at 10am on Friday, August 5th. A viewing will be held from 10am until 1pm at the church, with Mass beginning at 1PM.

PLEASE WEAR BLUE, Jack's favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to THE JOHN D. YOUNG LIONS BLIND CENTER, 100 Crestview Ave (corner of Pitney Road) in Absecon, NJ 08201.
