Frank Henry  Williams Jr.
Williams, Frank H., 84, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 3, 2017. Frank was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Olney High and joined the Marines shortly thereafter. He proudly served his country from 1951 to 1954, receiving the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. It was at the Philadelphia Naval Yard that he met the love of his life, Barbara, to whom he was married for 56 years, and sadly lost in 2011.
Frank spent most of his life in education receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University and two Masters Degrees from Glassboro State University and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a greatly loved and respected teacher/ guidance counselor at many local schools in Brigantine, Atlantic City High, Oakcrest/ Absegami and ultimately retiring from Egg Harbor Township High School in 1995.
Frank resided in Brigantine for 50 years, faithfully served his church, Brigantine Presbyterian as a deacon. He loved walking on the beach and seawall, playing bocce and pool, traveling to Maui and Tuesday morning breakfasts with the “guys.”
Frank will be greatly missed by his loving family, his children, Erica Vola (John), Gary Williams (Carrie), and Deborah Martin; grandchildren, Shannon, Janna, Karleah, Kelsey and Britton; and great grandson and “little guy,” Gabriel.
Friends and Relatives are invited to celebrate his life on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield with a visitation starting at 10am and a service beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at the Atlantic County Veteran’s Cemetery in Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Frank’s Memory to the Marine Corp’s Law Enforcement Foundation @ www.mc-lef.org, an organization that provides scholarships to the children of fallen U.S. Marines.
