Obituary for Raymond S. Wilson Sr.

Raymond S.  Wilson Sr.
Wilson, Raymond S., Sr. - 82 of Northfield, NJ and Hobe Sound, FL departed this life peacefully on July 11th, at home surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years and his beloved family.

Born and raised in Northfield, NJ, Raymond graduated from Pleasantville High School (1954) and for many years served the community on the Northfield Volunteer Fire Department. He worked as a foreman for Hess Brothers Heavy Construction Company building highways throughout the State of New Jersey and was a member of the Heavy and General Labor Union #172. Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. Upon retirement he and Cynthia moved to Hobe Sound, Florida where he became a member and trustee of the AmVets Post #0014.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Clayton Wilson and is survived by his wife, Cynthia; six children, Deborah Hirsch (Richard) of Longport, Raymond Wilson, Jr. (Carol) of Northfield, Sara Flack (Bill) of Booneville, NY, Richard Wilson of Johnstown, PA, Clayton Wilson (Christine) of Mays Landing and Nancy Kellenyi (Steve) of Galloway; as well as 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until Noon, followed by a memorial service at Noon on Thursday, July 28th at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road Northfield, NJ.
