Packer, Harvey - Flights of angels sang our sweet prince to his rest on August 15th when Harvey Packer went to sleep, leaving his beloveds, wife Florence and daughter Laura.

Harvey was born in Philadelphia on January 28, 1935 to Selma and Louis Packer. He loved the world and traveled widely to sample its diversity and wonder. He explored the human spirit through the many books he read, interests he cultivated, his friendships, his love of the ocean and baseball, and the causes to which he was devoted.

He will be missed by his Green family relatives; his Brooks family grandchildren; brother, cousins and friends, especially Sid Levinson, Earl and Blanche Warman, Adrienne Jenness, Arnold and Helene Weinstock, Frankie Rubinstein, and Charley Shaffner among others. He loved and mourned his son-in-law, Kevin Brooks.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and his spirit in September.
