Obituary for Richard F. Stretton
Stretton, Richard F., 77, of Egg Harbor Twp, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Born in Atlantic City and raised in Somers Point, he was a lifelong resident of Atlantic County. In his younger years he drove race cars and had his pilot’s license and was an avid flier. Throughout his life he worked as a builder. He volunteered his time within the community especially to the EHT PAL.
He was predeceased by his father, Victor Stretton, Sr.; mother, Barbara Timmes; and son, Richard Stretton, Jr.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Rochelle Gimmillaro, Renee Kelly, Ramona Guenther, and Rhonda Crimi; grandchildren, Randy, Christopher, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Richard, Kortney, Justin, Robert, Marta, and William; great-granddaughter Violet; sister, Barbara Roppa; and brothers Victor Stretton, Jr. and Butch Timmes.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225. A service will follow at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Egg Harbor Twp Police Athletic League, 2590 Ridge Ave, Egg Harbor Twp, NJ 08234.
Arrangements entrusted to and condolences for the family may be left at Adams-Perfect.com
