Obituary for Katherine G Leeds

LEEDS, KATHERINE G. - 91 of Absecon, NJ went home to the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2015. Katherine was born in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Joseph and Mary Gallagher on June 17, 1924. She graduated from Holy Spirit High School and worked for the NJ Bell Telephone Co. She married her beloved spouse, Thomas B. Leeds on October 5, 1946; they just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Katherine was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Katherine is survived by her spouse Thomas, and her five children: Kathleen Loveland (Mo), Thomas (Charlotte), Joseph (Joan), Steven (Lynn), and Maryanne Stewart (Bill). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her sisters, Mary Garman and Anne Brennan, and her brother, Joseph Gallagher. A church visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 118 Main Street in Port Republic. Interment will follow in Port Republic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Katherine be made to the St. Paul’s Church Steeple Fund or Family Promise of Atlantic County, PO Box 1632, Absecon, NJ 08201. Arrangements are entrusted to Adams-Perfect Funeral Home.
