Kathryn Sturgill (LaRocca)
Sturgill, Kathryn Ann, 56, of Egg Harbor Twp., lost her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on August 31, 2015, after a 2 1/2 year long fight.

Kathy was born on October 20, 1958 in Atlantic City, NJ to Dorothy Steelman and Thomas LaRocca. She graduated from Mainland Regional High School, Class of 1977. Kathy married her best friend, Don, on a house boat in 1986, of whom she has shared many good times sailing through life together.

Kathy enjoyed riding with Don on their motorcycle, vacationing, the beach, carving, relaxing and watching the hummingbirds, but most of all Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, they were her motivation to fight as hard as she did.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband Don Sturgill, her children Christina Sturgill, Nicole Palmieri (Tony), DJ Sturgill (Nicole), her sisters Janet LaRocca (Anthony Previti), Maryanne Strang (Frank Herbein), her grandchildren, Tylor, Dylan, Anthony, and Westley, and nieces Bryanna and Sarah along with step siblings, extended family and friends. Kathy is predeceased by her Mother and Step Father, Dorothy and Ralph Sacco.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Michael J. Neustadter Pancreatic Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 3265 Margate, NJ 08402.
