Obituary for Sarah M Dessicino

Sarah M  Dessicino
Dessicino, Sarah, 86 of Linwood, went home with the Lord peacefully with her husband by her side on July 17, 2015.

She was born in Scullville, and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1948. Sarah was an admirable woman full of faith and grace. She devoted her life to the Lord, her husband, and her family. Sarah truly treasured the simple life and loved to preach her words of wisdom. She has touched the lives of many with her kind and generous heart. She will be remembered most for her fun-loving spirit and being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Sarah was predeceased by her father, Nathaniel Henry; her mother, Lavinia Henry; and her sister, Irene England. Sarah is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 65 years, Salvadore Dessicino. Sarah is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Terry Gatto (Michael) and Bonnie Wythe (David); granddaughters Krista Palmer (Mike) and Casey Pfaeffli (John); grandsons Michael Gatto and Scott Gatto (Tori); great-grandchildren Cayden and Kylie Palmer and Ryder Pfaeffli; brothers John Henry (Edna) and William Henry (Patricia); sisters Georgetta Richards (Robert) and Catherine Hammell; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:30am at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A viewing will be held from 9:30am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
