Obituary for John Howard "Moe" Monell
Monell, John Howard "MOE" 84 of Northfield passed away Wednesday at Shore Medical Center.
John was born in Atlantic City and was an area resident for most of his life. He served as a First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, John started his 50+ years as a Commerical Lender with Guarantee Bank in Atlantic City. Over his career, he worked at many banking establishments including, Atlantic National Bank, Coastal Bank, Heritage Bank, NA, Marine National Bank/Horizon Bankcorp, Chemical Bank New Jersey,NA, and most recently, Sun Bank.
John is survived by his loving wife,Caryle, his children; Lee Anne Monell and Stephen Monell, his grandchildren; Thomas, John, and Daniel, his step-children; Thomas Tozour (wife-Cara) and Tiffany Tozour, his step-grandchildren; Alexis and Ryan, and his girls (dogs) Holly and Emma.
A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 5pm until 7pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ.
Burial will be held privately by the family at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the American Heart Association 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
