Obituary for Diana Lee Adams (Russo)
Adams, Diana (nee Russo), passed away on June 5, 2015 at Shore Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She went into the loving arms of Jesus to be with her dad, Harry, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
Diana was born July 18, 1946 in Atlantic City and moved to Northfield in 1950. Diana went to Northfield Schools and graduated from Mainland High School. After graduating, she married the love of her life, Ray. They were happily married for 49.5 years. Ray and Diana lived in Pomona Oaks for 27 years, where they raised their four children and many of the neighborhood kids. Diana and Ray moved back to Northfield to the house Diana grew up in. She worked at Shore Memorial Hospital, Reses Pharmacy, The Rx Place, Acme and Walmart for many years as a Pharmacy Tech.
Diana loved to garden, go antiquing, and traveling with her husband (vacationing in Florida and Ocean City, MD). She leaves behind her husband of 49.5 years, Raymond E. Adams; her mother, Dottie Russo; children Karen Adams Foley (John), Ray Adams and wife Robyn, Jim Adams (Lynda), and Keith Adams and wife Karen; her grandchildren, Joe, Tim, RJ, Kyle, Emily, Katie, and EJ; brothers Steve Russo and Tom Russo (Donna). Diana also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 10th from 6pm until 8pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, and again on Thursday, June 11th from 10am until 11am, followed by a service at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Diana may be made to the Every Breath Counts Foundation, PO Box 209, Somers Point, NJ 08244.
