Obituary for Marion Latch (Huelitt)

Marion Latch (Huelitt)
Latch, Marion (nee Huelitt) - 81 of Somers Point and Aloha, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28th.

She was born with determination and a strong will to the late Ruth and Harold Huelitt. She was raised with her best friend and sister, the late Dorothy (Cliff Gibson) of Neptune, NJ. Marion would marry Constantin Latch in 1956 and raise her family in Flemington, NJ.

Marion shared her love of nature and birding through her art as a photographer, and passed her love of nature and animals onto her daughters and granddaughter. She returned to NJ four years ago to watch her grandchildren grow. She brought with her a vibrance and youthful pursuit of life. She could be found making her way up and down the bike path and around Somers Point, enjoying nature, life, and making sure to meet every dog and person she came into contact with. She liked to hear stories of life, and loved to share all she learned.

Marion could be found volunteering three days a week at the Grace Lutheran Food Pantry. She rarely missed a day volunteering in snow, rain, sleet and heat. She did it all so quietly, never wanting attention or recognition for her efforts.

She leaves her husband, Cal; and her likewise strong and determined daughters, Lark Latch of Colorado and Doris Donnerstag of Egg Harbor Twp.; along with her favorite daughter in law, Jennifer Pesce. Grandma also leaves her four grandchildren to learn from her example: Madeline Donnerstag, Tyree, Quiyan, and Jason Pesce.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2pm until 6pm at the home of her daughter.

Donations are appreciated in honor of her spirit to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, 6735 E. Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234.
