Obituary for John Christian Brick
Brick, John C., 80, of Linwood, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Cape May Courthouse to the late John and Eleanor Brick. John was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, where he served as a Eucharist minister to Epiphany shut-ins. John served on Linwood City Council. He was a member and a past-president of Northfield-Linwood Kiwanis Club.
John is survived by his wife, Clare Brick; children, John Gary Brick, Kathy Sharpless, Jeffrey Brode (Tammy), and Nancy Cannizzaro; grandchildren, Jeffrey Brode, Jr. (Samantha), Dr. Wm. Michael Brode, Bethany Sharpless, Katie Brode, Rachel Brick, John Cannizzaro, Abigail Sharpless, Amanda Cannizzaro, Trista Watts (Eric), and Kayla Daley (Jon); great grandchildren, Rosaliee Brode, Marleigh McShane, Evan Daley, and Theodore Brode; and brother, Bruce Brick (Jo Ann).
A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:30am to 11:30am, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 306 S Franklin Blvd, in Pleasantville. A service will follow at 11:30am. Burial will take place at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to: Scholarship Fund at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 306 S. Franklin Blvd, Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
