Obituary for Frank Roosevelt Walters Sr.

Frank Roosevelt  Walters Sr.
Rev. Frank Delanor Roosevelt Walters, Sr. age 70, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2014. He was born on November 21, 1943, to the late James and Mary Walters in Greensboro, N.C. He was named after the 32nd President of the United States. He attended grammar school at the age of six, and then completed High School in Sedalia, N.C. Thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Navy, After his duties in the Navy, he return to Gibsonville, N.C. and pursued a trade in carpentry.
In 1965, Frank moved to Pleasantville, NJ, where he started his carpenter's business, Frank R. Walter's carpentry, later, renaming the business Frank R. Walters & Son.
Elder Frank R. Walters, Sr. was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at Trinity Tabernacle Church of God in Christ where he was a member under the Late Pastor Calvin Birts. While there he accepted his call to the ministry. Elder Walters helped build the present Trinity Tabernacle Church of God Christ along with Pastor Birts and others.
Elder Frank Waters later became a member of Greater Faith Temple Church of God in Christ over 40 years until his demise. Elder Walters served as Atlantic District Y.P.W.W. President and Sunday School Teacher for Junior Boys. Elder Walters was an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ.
Elder Frank Walters was predeceased by his parents; James and Mary Walters, and brothers; Ronald Walters, JD Walters, John Walters and James (June) Walters. His surviving siblings; sisters (twins) Mary Dunn of Las Vegas, NV, Martha (Edward) Green of Egg Harbor Township, Lucille Walters of Atlantic City, BettyJean Walters of Pleasantville, brother, Joseph Walters of Atlantic City, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elder Frank Walters loved his beautiful children. He loved spending time with them. He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories; Michele (Gregory) James, and Frank, Jr. (Keshia), both of Pleasantville, grandchildren; Frank III, Alecxis Nadirah, Amara and Daelon, He knew he had a great granddaughter on the way. he was unable to meet her in person, but he met her through pictures and he was very happy and excited, Great Granddaughter, Samiya Michele.
Elder Frank R. Walters, Sr. loved everyone and everyone loved him.
