Obituary for Rebecca Anne Glancey

Rebecca Anne  Glancey
Glancey, Rebecca A., 54, a lifelong resident of Egg Harbor Township went home to be with her loving Savior in the comfort of her own home while surrounded by family.

Rebecca was born on August 28, 1960 in Atlantic City to Robert and Dolores Enslin (nee Bagnick). A graduate of Absegami High School, she attended Lebanon Valley College and received a B.S. in education with a minor in music.

Rebecca taught in the EHT School District for 30 years as an elementary teacher. Her love for her students and their families was comparable only to her passion for serving in the church. She served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as the church pianist, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School director, worship leader, youth leader,prayer warrior, evangelist, play director and Bible study leader.In all things, she strove to bring glory to God.

Rebecca is predeceased by her daughter, Marah Glancey; and her father, Robert Enslin. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, William E. Glancey; her children, Sarah Weeks (Kevin), Hannah, Matthew, Robert, Naomi, Aaron, and Samuel; her mother, Dolores B. Enslin; her sisters, Priscilla Carrano (Michele) and Evangeline Fox (Charles); her brother, Charles Mattes (Gaynell); her grandchildren, James, Joanna, Joshua, Jessa, and Jaclyn Weeks; many nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Ave Glancey; and her sister-in-law, Regina Nell.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 1st from 5-7pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, and again on Thursday morning, October 2nd, from 10-11am. A service will follow at 11am. Burial will be held at Asbury Methodist Church, EHT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rebecca's memory to the Faith Bible Baptist Church, 2063 Ocean Heights Avenue, EHT, NJ 08234.
